  • SO… HOW WAS IT FOR YOU?

    Christmas, that is.

    I’m currently having some down-time in my room, surrounded by chocolate coins, chocolate lollies, various assorted chocolates… and a novelty-sized Galaxy Smooth Milk bar. Life is good.

    I’m in one of those moods. One of those comfortable moods in which I feel cosy enough to curl up in bed with said novelty Galaxy bar and blog about how I’m feeling about today. Obviously the much-anticipated yearly walk left a lot to be desired, and there was a bit of a debacle featuring a size-12 dress and my bloated period-tummy; but I’m warm, I’m cosy, I’m on the bevs (and intend to be for the rest of tonight) and I’m ready to chat about my day.

    Naturally, I didn’t sleep for the entirety of Christmas Eve. I genuinely think, at this point, it must be wired into my brain. I’ve never been able to sleep on Christmas Eve, even when I’m not feeling particularly Christmassy.

    ‘Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the house…

    Not a creature was stirring…

    Except for bloody Hannah whose sat in bed watching old reruns of ‘Kath and Kim’ and repeatedly telling anyone who asks; ‘it’s just wired into me! I can never sleep on Christmas Eve!’

    I did eventually manage to get some shuteye at around 5:30 in the morning, and slept right through until 9:45. Woke up to a text from my sister;

    I also received a new laptop from my parents! A Godsend, seeing as I’ve been blogging on my Dad’s laptop for the past few months. I always find it’s just nice, isn’t it? Having a private place of your own to store your writings and musings.

    Our yearly ramble around the town took place at around two in the afternoon, and I have to say the unsayable… it wasn’t actually that bad. It was lovely to get out of the house, and my parents and I have a great rapport when we’re not at complete loggerheads (i.e. ninety-five per-cent of the time… it comes part and parcel of being a twenty year-old who still lives at home!).

    Then at three; games! As it turns out, I’m incredibly competitive. Who knew?

    Obviously, apart from everyone I’ve ever played against on any game. I once told my boyfriend to get out of my house because he beat me on Turbo League. Not my proudest moment. I digress.

    This brings us to where I’m at now. I’m sleepy-blogging, obviously. I’m waiting on Christmas dinner, and I’m dying for a nap. There’s only one more thing left to ask, really…

    So… how was it for you?

    Merry Christmas! Xx

      What a great gift! I loved Christmas Eve we had with my boyfriend yesterday. Lots of food, sweets, movie, some wine and hot chocolate… Today he made pancakes and I really love when he cooks something, since I usually do that. Merry Christmas!

      I’m glad you had a great holiday! Having your own laptop is ideal, especially for blogging. I spent most of Christmas with my boyfriend’s family and then we drove around and looked at Christmas lights haha.
