Kylie Jenner has been branded THE self-made billionaire of 2018. No shade to her, but we all know it’s bullshit, don’t we? She created an entire empire of her own, and is now an entrepreneur of her own right; for that, I applaud her. But self-made? Not on your life.
The real self-made woman has been hiding under our noses the whole time. Although recently coming to light over a dispute with an established beauty brand, we all seem to be so engrossed in the drama that we’re simply choosing to ignore the impressive background of Cashmere Nicole, founder of quirky cosmetics brand Beauty Bakerie.
Self-made isn’t utilising your family’s wealth to further establish your brand. Self-made is starting off as a struggling single mother, fighting cancer and still finding a silver lining. Self-made is having a net worth of three-million dollars, simply earned through hard work, patience and graft. Self-made is being a gracious individual in the face of drama and imitation.
I for one can’t wait to purchase her products with my next payment. Beauty Bakerie will always have a supporter in To Preen or not To Preen…?
And that’s the tea.
